Being a D&AD Shift mentor is an ongoing volunteer commitment coaching a Shifter as they prepare for their D&AD Shift showcase.Â
SHECD started when a few of us looked around and wondered why women in creative leadership was such a scarcity.
This initiative starting with ongoing communication with women in the Ogilvy creative department, through to a combination of formal and informal events.
While on the Ogilvy Next Gen committee, we did a LOT, including:
- Â Â Â We developed and implemented a new identity for Ogilvy Next Gen (formerly Young Turks), including core pillars and mission statement
- Â Â Â Launching New Starter Breakfasts with our executive committee
-    ‘Ask Me Anything’ panels with our senior leadership team, where junior staff can anonymously ask any business question – including tough questions about hiring, business decisions, remuneration and more
- Â Â Â An Aboriginal Cultural Tour to learn the significance of the land we work on
- Â Â Â A mentorship panel event for junior & mid-weight staff
- Â Â Â An Art Auction fundraiser for the whole agency. We brought back some of the organic creativity we lost during long WFH periods, where staff created and actioned-off their art with proceeds going to The Song Room, raising over $1.3k
